The Community Coaching Clinic is for those that are interested in learning the basics of coaching. In this course, you will learn about the ethics of coaching, what it takes to be a good coach and how to plan a practice. There is also a short practical section of the course to practice instructing throwing techniques and drills. This is a great way to get trained to start an ultimate team in your community or school, get the basic knowledge of what it takes to run a team, or great for mentors of teams that are just getting started. At the end of the course, you will receive the status of “trained” community coach for Ultimate through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and Ultimate Canada.
This one day course is 9hrs in length and will run from 8:30-6:30 with an hour break for lunch on Saturday, March 15th. It will be held mainly at the Croatian Cultural Center with a short walk to Trout Lake for an ‘on field’ portion in the afternoon. Please dress accordingly.
If you would like a coaching course to be held in your community, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
