June 6 & 7, 2015
Due to Field Construction at UBC and the FIFA Women’s World Cup, scarcity of fields has caused BCU to undertake a limited Flower Bowl Tournament in 2015. This years tournament will be for Women’s teams only. Flower Bowl will return to it’s regular size in 2016.
Flowerbowl offers 4 divisions: Elite Open, Elite Women, Open and Women.
In the Elite divisions, we regularly see past Canadian, UPA and World Champions. Division winners from past years usually go on to win at Canadian Nationals and the UPA Championship Series. Attending teams are predominantly from the Pacific Northwest, but we often have visitors from central and eastern Canada, California and other US states.
For non-Elite players, Flowerbowl also includes regular Open and Women’s divisions. Compete and test your skills in a fun environment without having to face an Elite team. Playing on an Open or Women’s team also provides a great change from regular Co-ed league play.
If you would like Flowerbowl to host a Mixed division again in the future, email the TD to let them know.

To get there, use this for Google directions of the map below;
Or follow these directions:
From the South: Interstate 5 turns into Hwy 99 after you cross the border. Stay on Hwy 99 to Vancouver (you’ll go through a tunnel, and over a bridge) where Hwy 99 becomes Oak Street. Continue north on Oak until 16th Ave, then turn left. Stay on 16th until you enter the UBC Campus (lots of trees), at Westbrook Mall turn right, you will see the fields.
From the Airport: Leave the airport and follow the signs to Vancouver. Cross the Arthur Lang Bridge and take the exit to Granville Street (right lane off bridge). Follow Granville to 16th Avenue, and turn left. Stay on 16th until you enter the UBC Campus (lots of trees), at Wesbrook Mall turn right, you will see the fields.
From the East: Exit Hwy 1 at Grandview Hwy (which is basically 12th Ave). Keep going straight until you go through the main UBC Gates, then past the Golf Course and turn Left at the first major intersection (Wesbrook Mall). Follow Wesbrook past the Hospital, past a set of lights, and the fields will be on your right. If you get to 16th Ave you have gone too far.
