Lenami Godinez passed away April 28, 2012 from a hang-gliding accident. Since then such a positive outbreak in many communities have occurred in her honour. A group of friends immediately started a scholarship fund at SFU supporting an international female student and in the past year we have raised over $30,000! There have been three memorial benches put up around BC. We have had life celebrations, Mexican holidays and Ultimate Spirit games for her.This Thursday we are proud to host an evening called “Starting Out”, a silent auction and live storytelling event to celebrate her and raise another $10,000 for the scholarship fund, so that we can actually support one female student yearly!
