Exciting partnership with AthletesCAN and Light Trail Consulting

BC Athlete Voice begins 3-year partnership with AthletesCAN and Light Trail Consulting

Today BC Athlete Voice is pleased to announce a three-year partnership with both AthletesCAN and Light Trail Consulting to deliver athlete leadership programming in the province of British Columbia.

Light Trail has been contracted to enhance objectives related to BCAV’s original mandate, advancing leadership opportunities for athletes in BC. The consulting group will work with both athletes and Provincial Sport Organizations, (PSOs), to fulfill this mandate over the next three years.

BCAV has also begun a three-year agreement with AthletesCAN who will contribute athlete leadership expertise, with BCAV and Light Trail returning best practice reports to AthletesCAN in order to inform future leadership development across Canada.

Light Trail is an independent consulting team consisting of principles Greg Tooke and Steve Doherty. Bringing significant experience in partnership development, operational management, organizational change and leadership development strategy, Light Trail will work with BCAV and AthletesCAN to demonstrate the value of athlete inclusion on PSO boards and strategic committees.

BC Athlete Voice is also excited to congratulate former Executive Director Callum Ng on accepting a position with the Canadian Olympic Committee. Callum has continued his transition into sport media, accepting a role as Senior Writer/Producer with the COC. BCAV thanks Callum for his efforts supporting athlete development in the province.

Moving forward, BC Athlete Voice will facilitate these partnerships under the guidance of the Board of Directors.
