CUC Junior – Success for BC Based Teams!

BC sent a total of 14 teams, 7 Open and 7 Women’s, to CUC Juniors, played Aug 11-14 in Ottawa, Ontario, and the local clubs came up BIG at the show.

BC teams won 4 of 6 available medals, including the Championships in both divisions, won be Prime’s Dyno teams. These wins were back-to-back championships for both the Women’s and Open divisions. Also on the podium, VUL’s Canyon Open and Women’s teams both won Bronze medals at the event. This accomplishment by these 4 teams, along with strong results from Vortex Women (6th) and Helios Open (4th) speak to the strength AND depth of BC Junior Club teams.

Of note was a strong finish for the Dusk teams from Vancouver Island, who were attending CUC for the first time. Following a strong BCUC Junior event, the Dusk teams came in 9th in Women’s and 6th in Open. Junior Ultimate continues to grow on Vancouver Island and I expect these teams will be pushing for medals at CUC in the near future.

Congratulations to all the BC teams attending CUC 2024.

Women’s Results: Dyno (1st), Canyon (3rd), Vortex (6th), Dusk (9th), Nitro (11th), Eclipse (12th), Helios (15th)

Open Results: Dyno (1st), Canyon (3rd), Helios (4th), Dusk (6th), Vortex (12th), Reign (15th), Nitro (17th)
