Canadian Nationals coming to Surrey and Kelowna in 2023

As recently announced by Ultimate Canada, Canadian Nationals will be returning to British Columbia in a BIG way next summer.

Kelowna will be hosting the Masters divisions in July, which will be run by the Kelowna Ultimate Players Association. In August, BC Ultimate and the Vancouver Ultimate League will be presenting the Junior and Senior divisions in Surrey, BC. Dates for both events are TBD.

BC Ultimate is proud to be involved in bringing CUC back to BC after last hosting the Mixed Divisions in 2018. With all CUC events being held in the province next year it will be a fantastic opportunity for local teams to attend Nationals in their own backyard. This will greatly reduce travel costs for players and will help continue the process of building Ultimate in our province back following the recent pandemic pause.

These events will also be important events for National Team selections ahead of the WFDF World Ultimate Championships and World Junior Ultimate Championships in 2024.

Pre-planning for these events will begin in Fall 2023, and more information will be shared shortly. You can contact BC Ultimate HERE for further information.

CUC 2022 Results

During August Ultimate Canada hosted Masters, Junior and Senior Nationals in Ontario. These events featured many teams from BC who achieved some great results for our province.

In the Junior Women’s division Eclipse won Gold after beating Vortex in the final, who won Silver. Mischief placed 4th, with Helios 6th, Void 10th and Reign 11th.

Well done to all the teams and players who attended CUC 2022. We look forward to seeing you at CUC 2023, which will take place in BC next year!
