The North Shore Bonfire U19 boys’ and girls’ summer club programs are set to hold tryouts next week. While Bonfire is a North Shore based program we are open to players from anywhere who are brave enough to cross the bridge (it’s not that far)!
Who: Players in grades 10-12
What: Two hours of hard running, high level Ultimate and fun!
Where: Brooksbank Elementary school (just off of Grand Boulevard) in North Vancouver
When: Tuesday May 26th and Thursday May 28th from 4:00-6:00
Why: A fun, ‘family’ atmosphere that encourages high level competitive Ultimate with an emphasis on Spirit of the Game
Boys’ Coaches: Ryan Hoy and Cole Keffer – both are graduates of the Sutherland Secondary Ultimate program winning both the Provincial title and the Spirit Award in both their Junior and Senior years. They are also Bonfire alumni winning Bronze at CUC last year. Cole competed for the World Junior title in Italy last summer and Ryan currently plays on the UBC mens’ team.
Girls’ Coaches: Carla Keffer and Jen Dick (Moosie) – many, many, many years of combined Ultimate experience!!
