Whistler 5 on 5 Ultimate Tournament

2013 Whistler 5 on 5 Recap

The Inaugural Whistler 5 on 5, held May 25-26 was a big success! Thirteen teams participated in BC’s first ever 5 on 5 tournament, against a stunning backdrop at Whistler Secondary School.

“More fun than Mike Clay” from Vancouver overpowered Toolbox from Seattle in the finals. Toolbox just didn’t have enough left in the tank with their short roster after an exciting 21-19 semi-final win over Nelson Homegrown.
Each participant in the tournament received a disc and top notch field food. Players that stayed in the tourney accommodations at HI Whistler were treated to home-made breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a Friday Night craft beer mix and mingler. The Saturday party theme of ‘Scrabble’ provided plenty of laughs and creative costumes at Dusty’s Bar and BBQ.
