This past weekend saw Burnaby Lake Park host the 2018 BC Ultimate Championships for the adult divisions. Teams attending were not only battling for a BC Championship, but also to qualify for the 2018 Canadian Ultimate Championships.

The World Flying Disc Federation has just announced the broadcast partners and plans for the WFDF 2018 World Ultimate Club Championships, taking place in Cincinnati, USA from July 14-21.

Current games being shown featuring Canadian teams include:
- Fusion (Women’s) – July 15th at 10am vs Bamboo (COL)
- Traffic (Women’s) – July 15th at 12pm vs HUCK (JPN)
- Anchor (Mixed) – July 16th at 8am vs Marvellous DC (NZL)
- Crash (Mixed) – July 16th at 10am vs Freakshow (SGP)
Be on the lookout for Vancouver’s own Banana Cutters later in the week, along with other Canadian teams such as 6ixers, Goat, Battleship and General Strike.

Vancouver women’s players – are you interested in checking out club tryouts in the spring? If your answer is yes, the city’s three touring teams – Traffic, Zephyr and Wendigo – want to see YOU!
There will be free skills sessions held at Winona Park’s north field every Sunday morning in March from 10am to 12pm. These sessions are open to any female players who plan to attend club tryouts or want experience running through drills at the competitive level. All you need are your cleats, a disc and water.
