2016 Junior Club Tryout Info

BC Junior Club teams are starting their tryouts for summer club teams. These teams will look to play at BCUC with an eye to qualifying for Canadian Nationals in August. There are many great regional club programs that offer a lot of different playing opportunities. If you are interested in playing ultimate after the end of the high school season, check one of them out:

Bonfire Ultimate

North Shore Bonfire Boys Tryouts:
If you live on the North Shore or anywhere close by and you’re in Grade 11 or 12 and have at least 2 years of Ultimate experience we’d love to see you at our tryouts:
Tuesday, May 3rd at Brooksbank Elementary School
980 13th St. East, North Vancouver, BC
5:00-7:30pm

Introducing North Shore Wildfire:
The Ultimate flames are spreading so quickly on the North Shore we’d like to introduce you to our newest program, the
 North Shore Wildfire. For senior players just getting into the game, or Grade 9 and 10s wanting to up their game and play single gender for the summer, Wildfire is for you!! Tryouts for Wildfire will commence in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!!!!!

Ultimate Canada Observer Clinic – June 4-5

Interested in joining Team Orange and becoming a certified Observer in ultimate?

Ultimate Canada is hosting an Observer Clinic in Vancouver on June 4-5 in conjunction with Flowerbowl. The clinic will take place at Burnaby Lake Park and is for anyone interested in becoming an observer. Upon completion of this course participants will be fully certified USAU/UC Observers and will have the opportunity to work at any number of tournaments in both the US and Canada. Ultimate Canada is always looking for more Observers to work at Canadian Nationals, and USAU has a regular need for Observers at Sectional, Regional and National events in the Club and College divisions.

2016 BC Ultimate Post-Secondary Bursary Program

BCU is proud to announce the 2016 Bursary program, created to provide financial assistance to students in the Province of British Columbia who will be starting their post secondary education in the Fall of 2016. Up to three (3) bursaries of $300 will be awarded to students with a financial need and who best represent the sport of Ultimate, the Spirit of the Game and intend to continue their involvement in the sport.
