BC Ultimate recently received confirmation that we will be provided with grant support through the last round of Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. In 2021, Jumpstart has now disbursed funding to more than 1,200 organizations across Canada through Jumpstart’s Sport Relief Fund. We are beyond grateful to receive this news and know the positive impact it will have on sport and recreation organizations, and ultimately, on kids across the country. Along with Jumpstart, we understand the role sport plays in the health and well-being of kids and their families and are doing everything possible to help community sports continue.
This support from Jumpstart will be directed towards Ultimate Spirit, BCUs Indigenous outreach program, which is working in communities around the province to bring sport opportunities to Indigenous youth and build a sustainable sport network with the goal of increase sport participation. Since 2018 Ultimate Spirit has engaged with more than 2000 youth in BC. More information can be found about the program on our Ultimate Spirit page.
Ultimate Spirit relies on many avenues of funding to be able to deliver our program. One of those avenues is through individual or corporate charitable contributions through the BC Amateur Sport Fund. Donations are tax deductible and go directly towards supporting the Ultimate Spirit program. Contributions can be made on our Donation page.
BC Ultimate is grateful to Jumpstart and all of our funding partners and those who have donated to the Ultimate Spirit program for helping us continue this important work.
